We dream beyond ourselves. God’s grace is passed from generation to generation by building the Church for our kid’s kids.
We devote ourselves to becoming family. Church pushes past surface-level relationships and solo discipleship to become one.
We equip to send out. Every follower of Jesus has a distinct role to play, and something unique to offer the Church and the world.
We serve a purpose above our personal preferences. Our call is to serve Jesus and each other with humble, whole hearts.
We care beyond kindness. Love of neighbor moves toward the lost, last and least, starting with seeing the Image of God in them.
We cultivate laughter and fun because His joy is our strength. Faithfulness looks like taking God more seriously than we take ourselves.
I believe in God, the Father Almighty, creator of heaven and earth. I believe in Jesus Christ, His only Son, our Lord, who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died, and was buried; He descended to the dead. On the third day He rose again; He ascended into heaven,
Is seated at the right hand of the Father, and will come again to judge the living and the dead.
I believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy catholic* church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body and the life everlasting. Amen.
Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, forever. Amen.
God’s grace is a free gift. We do not have to earn our way into relationship with God. God, our Father, is always ready for us to come home. Romans 10:9-10 says, “If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is by believing in your heart that you are made right with God, and it is by confessing with your mouth that you are saved.”
No matter what we’ve done or who we are, we simply say “Yes, I want to follow Jesus,” and we become a lifelong learner on the way with Him. This means we let our lives become a “thank You!” back to God for the free gift of His grace and mercy.
We can get started by saying a prayer like this: “I want to follow You, Jesus. Forgive me for all the times I have messed up. I need Your help. I thank You for coming from heaven to earth to show me the Way. I’m grateful that You offered Yourself on the cross to redeem my past, be my Friend and Leader right now, and claim my future forever. Amen.”
