Wednesday Nights – CLASSES

FAQs

What are Wednesday Night classes?
Conveniently timed to be a mid-week check-in with your church family, these classes put practical next steps to explore your faith. On Sundays, you’re able to attend, worship and join in community—this mid-week opportunity is an extension of putting practice to Biblical truths.

Are the classes the same every semester?
Because of diversity of staff and church members, UC is able to offer many classes that change each semester. In addition to content changing, style of classes can range from video studies to interactive classes, from asking questions to exploring Biblical authors.

Who can participate in Wednesday Night classes?
Simply: everyone. To expand: our desire is to provide spaces for anyone and everyone to find community centered and surrounded by Jesus. These classes are open for anyone willing and wanting to explore faith—from those beginning the journey, to those who continue to develop their relationship with Jesus.

Can I invite a friend or co-worker?
Absolutely! As we always encourage you to grow in community, invitation into that community is vital. What would it look like to invite a friend or co-worker into your faith? Wednesday Night classes are a great way to explore topics of faith and encourage anyone to ask questions!

6:30–8 PM—Study of Philippians (led by Emmaus)

Kids Ministry classes & MS EPIC will continue to meet from 6–8 PM in their ministry areas.

Emmaus will be leading a 4-week study of Philippians—exploring the historical background, author, audience and setting that this letter from Paul finds itself. Throughout the four weeks, we’ll unpack the themes of the letter through the Inductive Bible Study method (no previous experience required!) to see God’s word come alive for the generation receiving this letter, and how it still impacts the church today.

This class will provide you with tools of approaching the scriptures in a way that allows God’s word to speak while we participate in a posture of listening. If you’re new to the Bible, or you’ve been an active learner for years, this 4-week study will give you the opportunity to grow closer to God and make the overwhelming joy of reading scripture more approachable.

Emmaus Bible Ministries exists to equip the Body of Christ with the Word of God and the Gospel of Jesus Christ through Inductive Bible Study, Authentic Relationships, and Community Life. Emmaus hosts a year-long School of Biblical Studies (located back in the EPICenter) and provides Narrative Series and Seminars throughout the year for local churches.
