Each day will also include snack, a short devotional, and small group time. The week will culminate with a fun day! What is The Landing?

A smaller, focused space where you can slow down and get practical, step-by-step tools for specific struggles—whether that’s stress, painful relationships, or habits you want to break—alongside peers doing the exact same work.

When a student needs more than a weekly check-in—when they need a structured, multi-week framework to process specific hurts, habits, or hangups—The Landing provides a focused environment dedicated entirely to that personal work.

The Landing—it’s a smaller, focused space our church offers with extra tools specifically for navigating tough personal stuff.

Being a teenager is hard: stress, grief, family changes, difficult relationships, unhealthy coping patterns, or other personal struggles.

The Landing is a Christ-centered, focused support environment for middle and high school students navigating difficult seasons of life.

Through structured groups and specialized step-by-step tools, students can work through specific hurts, habits, and hangups alongside peers who are walking through similar experiences.

Hurts

Grief, loss, family disruption, difficult relationships, and other painful experiences.

Hangups

Stress, anxiety, emotional struggles, or other things that can make it difficult to move forward.

Habits

Unhealthy coping patterns or behaviors a student wants to understand and change.

What does The Landing look like?

A Smaller Space

The Landing creates a more focused environment where students can slow down, be honest about what they’re experiencing, and know they’re not alone.

Practical Tools

Students are given step-by-step tools for navigating specific struggles—not just another conversation about what’s difficult.

Walking Together

In addition to trained leaders, students participate alongside peers who are working through similar challenges, creating space for honesty, encouragement, and growth.

Faith at the Center

The Landing is part of our larger commitment to help students know Christ, experience grace, and grow in resilient faith.

University Carillon provides a complete support system so every student feels seen, loved, and equipped to flourish.

EPIC Youth Ministry

Our EPIC Youth (6th–12th Grade) is the heart of our student ministry—providing deep community, strong biblical teaching, and caring leaders who walk with students through every season of life. Within that loving environment, students sometimes face complex personal hurdles—like chronic anxiety, deep grief, or unhealthy coping patterns—that benefit from extra processing time and specialized recovery tools.

The Landing

The Landing isn’t a replacement for EPIC Youth; it’s an added resource designed to give students dedicated, step-by-step processing tools for specific life challenges.
A student does not have to choose between EPIC Youth and The Landing. The Landing serves as a smaller, focused space to walk through step-by-step tools for specific struggles.

FAQs

Students

That’s okay! You don’t have to have everything figured out before you come. If you’re carrying something that’s difficult, talk with an EPIC leader, your parent or caregiver, or a member of The Landing team. We’d be happy to help you figure out whether The Landing could be a good fit.

That’s completely understandable. The Landing is designed to be a smaller, welcoming space where you can slow down, connect with others, and take things one step at a time. You don’t have to walk through a difficult season by yourself.

Nope! EPIC is still your home base. The Landing is an extra resource you can use alongside EPIC when you need some additional support.

Absolutely! EPIC is not a prerequisite for The Landing.

If you’re new to University Carillon, new to EPIC, or have never attended before, you’re welcome at The Landing. You don’t have to be connected to EPIC first.

If you’re already part of EPIC, The Landing is an additional resource you can use when you need some extra support. There may also be seasons when taking some time away from EPIC to focus more intentionally on The Landing is the right choice for you.

Parents

EPIC provides broad spiritual growth, peer community, and worship for every middle and high school student. The Landing offers a focused, multi-week framework with specialized tools when a student needs extra help processing specific hurts, habits, or hangups.

Absolutely not! EPIC remains their home base. The Landing works alongside EPIC as a parallel support track. Students can participate in both freely.

If your student is looking for general community, spiritual growth, and friendship, EPIC is their main spot. If they are currently navigating a heavy personal challenge—such as emotional burnout, grief, family stress, or unhealthy coping mechanisms—The Landing offers a structured environment tailored to healing.

One of the best ways to walk alongside your student is to participate in Celebrate Recovery yourself. Celebrate Recovery meets at the same time as The Landing, and a parent group is available for parents and caregivers.
