The resurrection of Jesus isn’t the end of the story; it’s the beginning.
Jesus’ resurrection is the beginning of restoration: the epicenter of all things being made new under God’s rule and reign (Revelation 21:5). The newness He is bringing is meant to touch every sector of our society and every facet of our lives, leading us to live with new identities … fresh hope … and transformed ways of participating in life right now. The Christian gospel isn’t about waiting around to go to heaven one day, but about God’s mission to reconcile absolutely everything to Himself (Colossians 1:20), making all things new: starting in us, starting now.
