Wednesday Nights: Revival/Survival
Starts Oct 27 (3 weeks)

Pastor Craig Blocher will lead a 3-week Wednesday Night series on the basics of Wesleyan tradition within Methodism.Covering questions like: what is Christianity in a Wesleyan accent look and sound like? What makes us unique? What sets apart a “form of religion” and constant revival? What does it look like to pursue revival over survival?

In 1786 the founder of Methodism, John Wesley, looked back on the revival begun during his lifetime. Although well established, he was not content with the mere survival of a wave of revival after his death, but longed for renewal and transformation of souls in the image of their creator.

“I am not afraid that the people called Methodists should ever cease to exist either in Europe or America. But I am afraid lest they should only exist as a dead sect, having the form of religion without the power. And this undoubtedly will be the case unless they hold fast both the doctrinespirit, and discipline with which they first set out.” (J. Wesley, Thoughts Upon Methodism)
