All children belong in families, but foster families often lack the necessary support. Commission 127 trains churches to tangibly support families so families will foster longer and stronger.

Founding Principles:

  • The Purpose—To obey the mandate of James 1:27 in the Bible. Pure and undefiled religion in the sight of our God and Father is this: to visit orphans and widows in their distress.
  • The Mission—To equip the body of Christ to love & support foster & adoptive families within local churches and surrounding neighborhoods.
  • The Vision—Every child in foster care would experience the love of Jesus Christ through a well-supported family.

Not all can foster, but all can care

University Carillon has partnered with C127, and together we have developed a ministry to live out the mission given in James 1:27.

Some ways that you can get involved include:

CarePortal – prevent children from entering foster care when families are struggling to meet a physical or financial need to required to care for their children

CarePortal Response team – you will receive emails about physical and financial needs in our community that we are trying to meet to help keep families together

CarePortal Delivery team – Reach out to Becky Morris if you would like to be trained to help deliver items to families in need of physical items or financial support to continue caring for their children
